How Youth Consume News in Mobile & Social Digital Environments

In spring and early summer 2016, I designed and moderated a series of exploratory focus groups with teens and young adults ages 14-24 that asked about their experiences with news on social media and mobile app platforms. In March 2017, I and my Data & Society colleagues Mary Madden and Claire Fontaine released our findings in a report titled “How Youth Navigate the News Landscape.” The report is available on the website of our funder, the Knight Foundation.
